Text message notices

Optional texts about Greystone Estates West Homes Association votes. Last updated October 31, 2026.

How homeowners sign up

Every vote notice goes out by email. Texts are an extra that a homeowner chooses for themselves on the association's voting site, vote.greystoneestateswest.com. There is no other way onto the text list: the board does not add numbers, and numbers are never bought, shared or taken from the membership directory.

  1. The homeowner signs in to the voting site with a one-time code sent to their email address on file.
  2. Right after casting a ballot, or at any time on the My ballots page, they see the box below. It is never required to vote.
  3. They type their mobile number and tick the box. The box starts unticked, and the "Text me" button stays off until it is ticked.
  4. We record the number, the exact statement they agreed to, the date and time, where they agreed and their internet address, as proof of consent.
The sign-up box on the voting site. Heading: Get future vote notices by text? Below it: Optional. You'll still get every notice by email. A Mobile number field, then an unticked box reading: I agree to receive text messages from Greystone Estates West Homes Association about its votes: invitations, reminders and results. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not required to vote. Buttons: Text me (disabled until the box is ticked) and No thanks.

The statement reads: "I agree to receive text messages from Greystone Estates West Homes Association about its votes: invitations, reminders and results. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not required to vote."

What we send

  • An invitation when a vote opens, with the homeowner's link to their ballot.
  • A reminder before a vote closes, only if they have not voted yet.
  • A notice when results are published.

Usually a few texts for each vote, and a few votes a year. No advertising and no marketing. Links in our texts always point to vote.greystoneestateswest.com.

For example: "Greystone Estates West HOA: Vote in Pool hours change: https://vote.greystoneestateswest.com/… Reply STOP to opt out."

Reply HELP for help, or email the board at hoa.greystoneestateswest@gmail.com. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
